Searching the Online Catalog

If you are ready to begin your search, go directly to the Online Catalog.

To Limit Your Search:
1. You can click on “Advanced Search” to the right of the search box and enter some of your desired search choices, such as searching by title or author or keyword.

2. You can enter your search terms in the search box and go to the results page. This is particularly helpful to education majors looking for materials in the Curriculum Materials and Library Science collections. Here you can limit your results by specifics such as:

  • Collections (under “library locations”)
  • Publication date
  • Online vs print materials (under “availability”)
  • Subjects
  • Language

Note: When you are selecting your limits along the left, you click on the name of the limit to only show that type of item in your results list. If you hover over it, you will also see a symbol appear to exclude these items from your list. Sometimes that can be helpful, too, whether it is to exclude a certain type of material, a certain collection, or even a particular author.

Interlibrary Loan:
If we do not have an item that you need, you can search other libraries to find it through Worldcat and/or request it through Interlibrary Loan.
